Masport Proves To Be A Cut Above the Rest Once Again

With over 110 years’ experience of producing reliable lawnmowers to Kiwis, it was not a surprise that Masport was once again voted by New Zealanders as the Winner of the Most Trusted Brand for lawnmowers.

This year marks the fourth consecutive year that Masport has taken out this title, alongside with the title of a Highly Commended Brand for barbecues, competing against various other well-known and loved brands. Back in 2017, the award was previously categorised under “Gardening Equipment”, and Masport was voted by Kiwis as the winner of this category in back-to-back years between 2012 through to 2016.

Kiwis admire the quality and history of Masport lawnmowers, with one survey participant stating she has “had (her) Masport for ten years” and another stating Masport “has been around ever since I can remember”.

Masport has been kicking grass since 1910, where it commenced as a family-owned manufacturing company in Auckland, New Zealand. Across the years Masport saw an opportunity for continuous improvement and growth, from the introduction of petrol-powered lawnmowers in 1938 to the introduction of battery-powered lawnmowers in 2017. Today Masport is not only loved by Kiwis, but is loved across the globe, where products are sold in 45 countries and range from a variety of different outdoor power equipment and outdoor leisure products.

Masport is raising the bar, and the pressure, yet again this year with the introduction of its brand new Masport AVA Series pressure washer range. Alongside this, Masport is turning up the voltage to launch a new 60V battery range of outdoor power tools that fills the need for a battery equivalent of the petrol-powered tools you know and love.

The 2021 Trusted Brands survey was independently conducted by leading research company, Catalyst Research, who invited more than 2,000 Kiwis across the country to complete an online questionnaire. Included in the questionnaire was an unprompted question as to which brands these Kiwis trusted the most, and from there these brands were sorted into 71 different categories to be ranked. Under each category, one Winner and two Highly Commended brands were awarded to the successful brands.
